The Redemption sector

Danteron is a frozen world locked in a never ending winter. Struck by an asteroid over five centuries ago, the impact debris thrust into the stratosphere was enough to starve the planet of the suns warmth and allow a deep ice age to set in. Within a year of impact almost 98% of all Danterons plant and wildlife had perished from starvation and cold.

Modest expectations at the planets recovery are still placed in centuries.

Once a powerhouse if industry, the planet being blessed with an abundance of minerals and a warm temperate climate, the ruling noble house of Danteron were one of the most powerful in the entire Empire.

Today however they exist a shadow of their former selves toiling amidst the harsh climate to survive. Vast industry still exists on Danteron, but it is confined to mile deep drilling chasms penetrating snow, glacier, city ruins and bedrock. The mineral rich body of the world still provides a steady income, but at a much higher cost of materials, lives and suffering than it once had.

Various small communities exist dotted across the planet and are primarily research based, searching for ways to speed up the planets thaw and plotting for technological aid from the Techno Communion.

 Adventurers and scavengers regularly drill into the city ruins and open up passage ways for exploration, miles under ice and snow drifts the heyday of Danteron still exists frozen in time, rich in antique wealth and forgotten treasures.
